Tourism

Aix Market is a must. Every day, in the old town, you will be able to meet local farmers (olive oil, fragrances of Provence, spices). You will find a flower market worthy of the one on Cours Saleya in Nice. The market is much more lively on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

City of Art, there are many sites to be visited in the town centre:

  • The Granet Museum with its magnificent Planque collection.
  • The breathtaking Hôtel de Caumont with its temporary exhibitions.
  • The Atelier Cézanne to find out more about the famous painter.
  • The Vasarely Foundation, contemporary art with surprising geometric shapes.

Restaurants in Aix, a fascinating story.

  • Le Jardin Mazarin (Rue du Quatre Septembre) "Charm and refinement"
  • Le Millefeuille (Rue Rifla Rafle) "Delicate and refined local cuisine"
  • Chez Mitch (Rue des Tanneurs) "Semi-gastronomic & Provencal restaurant"
  • Brasserie du Marché (Place Richelme) "Local cuisine, terrace in the heart of the town"
  • Chez Jo (Rue Espariat) "Aix brasserie, wood fire baked pizza, very good meat"
  • Le Koï (Rue Paul Doumer) "Japanese restaurant, dishes prepared before you"

Sainte-Victoire Mountain and its trails. The symbol of Provence, the emblem of the Pays d'Aix, the muse of Cézanne, Sainte-Victoire Mountain rises to an altitude of 1,011 m and offers unequalled views. Our Concierge service is at your disposal to advise you about tailor-made itineraries (all levels, variable walking times).

Around the Calanques, just 40 minutes from Le Tholonet, Cassis, a small Italian-style fishing port, nestles in the magnificent Calanques Regional Nature Park. Many restaurants await you there. Do not hesitate to ask us for details.

Towards the Luberon, just a 1-hour drive away, several picturesque villages are well worth the detour:

  • L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue & the Fontaine de Vaucluse spring
  • Lourmarin & its Provencal market every Friday from 8 am to 1 pm.
  • Saint-Remy-de-Provence, Gordes & les Baux-de-Provence, take a day to visit each of these colourful villages.
